This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +5 more states.
• Lead operational diagnostics to uncover areas for enhancing efficiency, quality, capacity, customer experience, and minimizing risk.
• Evaluate current processes and formulate actionable future-state solutions.
• Collaborate with operational leaders to execute process enhancements and promote organizational adoption.
• Recognize and eliminate activities that do not add value, along with bottlenecks, redundancies, rework, and process complexities.
• Oversee improvement initiatives from the identification of opportunities through to implementation, stabilization, and realization of value.
• Create data-driven recommendations that balance customer impact, operational feasibility, risk, and business objectives.
• Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, Operational Excellence, consulting, and change management methodologies.
• Conduct assessments of processes, analyze workflows, and evaluate current states.
• Facilitate process redesigns to streamline work, reduce variability, enhance controls, and improve experiences for both customers and associates.
• Establish performance metrics, management routines, and control mechanisms to maintain improvements.
• Integrate continuous improvement capabilities into daily operations.
• Evaluate processes for automation, AI readiness, and agentic readiness.
• Identify opportunities to standardize workflows, decision points, business rules, and knowledge assets for AI-enabled operations.
• Collaborate with business, technology, and AI teams to redesign processes before automation.
• Assist in the transition toward agentic operating models.
• Define success criteria and anticipated outcomes that are measurable.
• Monitor realized benefits such as productivity, cycle time, quality, capacity, customer experience, and risk outcomes.
• Support portfolio governance by reporting on initiative progress, implementation risks, and value realized.
• Ensure that improvements lead to measurable and sustainable impacts on the business.
• Safeguard confidential information pertaining to Ascensus and clients from unauthorized access, transmission, or disclosure.
• 5+ years of experience in process improvement, operational excellence, consulting, transformation, or continuous improvement roles.
• Background in retirement operations and recordkeeping.
• Experience in financial services, servicing, and operations.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or equivalent continuous improvement certification is preferred.
• Consulting experience is preferred.
• Experience in supporting automation, workflow transformation, AI, or digital transformation initiatives is preferred.
• Demonstrated success in leading operational improvement initiatives from assessment to implementation and stabilization.
• Strong skills in process analysis, workflow redesign, and operational problem-solving.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive organizational change.
• Experience in implementing and maintaining measurable operational improvements.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to utilize data for decision-making and outcome quantification.
• Experience in developing business cases, performance metrics, and measures of value realization.
• Financial services experience is preferred; experience in the retirement industry is highly preferred.
• Comfortable operating independently in ambiguous environments while being accountable for results.
• Capability to protect, secure, and properly manage confidential data.
• For virtual remote positions, the ability to meet workspace, family-care, and internet requirements.
