Senior Consultant, OpenShift Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Assist customers in developing scalable and well-managed solutions that can adapt to technological advancements utilizing Red Hat technologies.

• Engage in continuous learning, growth, and adaptation to acquire new skills and technologies.

• Travel weekly from Monday to Thursday to various client locations.

• Participate in an intensive, tailored training program focused on Red Hat technologies and service solutions.

• Create production-ready technical solutions that are integrated with existing enterprise systems.

• Acquire knowledge of technologies and consulting skills through enablements led by Red Hat experts and pursue certification.

• Gain exposure and foster collaboration within Red Hat Services and the wider organization by engaging in networking and community events.

• Act as a technical lead to support Services on customer projects.

• Transform customer use cases into project plans, aligning requirements with Red Hat technologies.

• Successfully implement intricate, large-scale solutions within customer environments.

• Participate and share insights in internal and external communities of practice regarding lessons learned, best practices, and methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess an active Top Secret SCI clearance with polygraph.

• Proven experience in delivering implementations based on architectural designs.

• Demonstrated capability to lead a technical project, including collaboration on project timelines and maintaining technical and project documentation.

• Ability to recognize stakeholder needs and set expectations related to project timelines and scope of work.

• Experience working collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

• Knowledge and enthusiasm for mentoring others.

• An Associate's or Bachelor's degree, or higher, in computer science or a related technical field.

• Possession of technical certifications such as Security + and Network +.

• Experience in delivering successful consulting engagements for modern cloud platforms.

• Proficiency in Linux system administration, preferably with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or a similar variant.

• Previous experience with source code management tools like GitLab.

• Familiarity with or working knowledge of Ansible.

• Experience with enterprise cloud solutions, such as Platform-as-a-Service.

• Knowledge of container technologies, including Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes.

• Basic understanding of networking principles, including TCP, DNS, DHCP, and IP addressing.

• Extensive technical experience with one or more virtualization and cloud technologies such as OpenStack, Red Hat Virtualization, VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Microsoft Azure.

• Proven track record of working in a strategic advisory capacity with senior IT and business executives, including extensive experience presenting to C-level executives at large organizations.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

• Willingness to travel weekly from Monday to Thursday to client locations.
