This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +7 more states.
• Oversee client relationships by delivering thorough health and welfare support along with innovative solutions.
• Formulate a comprehensive strategy, including plan design, reporting, vendor management and selection, pricing, employee contribution settings, and retiree health care solutions.
• Spearhead Workplace Consulting projects related to health and welfare.
• Engage in the creation and presentation of annual strategic recommendations for clients.
• Cultivate a deep understanding of clients and their businesses, identifying opportunities to strengthen relationships and address client challenges.
• Maintain overall responsibility for strategic, analytical, and financial outcomes.
• Oversee, assist, and assess health and welfare program renewals and pricing, budgets, IBNP development, and additional support.
• Aid in the expansion of the health and welfare client portfolio through RFPs, finalist meetings, and the introduction of new offerings.
• Guide and mentor health and welfare associates assigned to client teams and the wider practice.
• Encourage teamwork and coordinate collaborative efforts.
• At least 10 years of demonstrable experience in the strategic management of health and welfare plans, ideally acquired in a benefits consulting or brokerage environment.
• Insight into complex business challenges and issues faced by clients, with a proven ability to market relevant health and welfare consulting services.
• Proficiency in utilizing all available resources to tackle client issues.
• Strong skills in managing client relationships, including exceptional communication and responsiveness.
• Capability to independently develop and lead strategic discussions.
• Ability to convey complex financial results to client stakeholders effectively.
• Extensive knowledge of the health insurance and benefits sector, including practices, relevant laws and regulations, financial matters, point solutions, traditional carrier partnerships, PBMs, and coalitions.
• Commitment to teamwork and coordination, including mentoring junior associates and leading groups.
• Competence in managing other associates.
