Senior Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Act as a clinical solutions consultant and a subject matter expert for Peer Review/PPE processes within the SaaS platform.

• Support healthcare clients in designing, implementing, and optimizing provider Peer Review/PPE programs.

• Interpret and apply standards for Peer Review/PPE from CMS, TJC, DNV, AAAHC, ACHC, state regulations, and organizational guidelines.

• Assist clients in the creation and implementation of clinical privilege forms and quality metrics.

• Guide clients through the validation of patient data, coding attribution review, and alignment with privilege forms.

• Collaborate with physician leadership, medical staff offices, quality departments, clinical teams, technical/EHR resources, medical coding professionals, implementation teams, and product stakeholders.

• Provide education, training, and ongoing support to users of the platform and client stakeholders.

• Convert clinical and operational requirements into platform suggestions and feedback for product enhancements.

• Analyze privileging processes, clinical quality data, and performance metric trends.

• Create workflow guides, best-practice recommendations, training materials, webinar presentations, and conference presentations.

• Participate in client meetings, implementation calls, and strategic advisory sessions.

• Stay informed about current industry knowledge related to Peer Review/PPE processes, standards, methodologies, and best practices.

• Oversee activities for multiple concurrent projects and clients.

• Assist clients in adopting and continually improving HealthStream’s healthcare workforce SaaS solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience in Peer Review/PPE processes.

• At least 7+ years of industry experience, specifically in Peer Review/PPE.

• A preference for Nursing (BSN), Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) is preferred.

• Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) is preferred.

• Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) is preferred.

• Strong preference for prior consulting or client-facing experience.

• Must be extremely well-organized, direct, honest, patient, and dependable.

• A pragmatic problem solver, strategic thinker, and creative troubleshooter.

• An energetic leader with strong interpersonal and rapport-building skills.

• An independent, decisive, and self-assured professional who performs well under pressure.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; maintains professional poise.

• Ability to build and maintain relationships and manage communications efficiently with clients, consultants, and Provider Solutions teams.

• Capability to handle multiple concurrent projects with various clients.

• Ability to comprehend client goals, manage expectations, and identify additional opportunities for support.

• Ability to showcase industry knowledge and understand client challenges.

• Willingness to travel 30% of the time.
