This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the development and delivery of AI tools for testing and enhancement within Community Solutions’ network of over 170 communities.
• Shape the strategy for transitioning high-impact AI prototypes into widespread adoption across the network.
• Implement principles regarding AI usage while ensuring a human is involved in the decision-making process and safeguarding individuals' dignity and data.
• Evaluate AI tools during development and deployment phases to mitigate bias.
• Identify the best strategies for the creation and testing of AI tools and prototypes.
• Manage the technical architecture of the AI portfolio.
• Determine which projects to develop internally versus those to collaborate on or outsource.
• Create privacy-conscious, local deployment methods for tools that handle client data.
• Enhance high-impact products alongside the in-house development team and external partners.
• Oversee relationships with technology partners and seek out corporate AI programs, accelerators, and philanthropic opportunities.
• Monitor the AI-for-good landscape and respond to urgent opportunities as they arise.
• Maintain direct relationships for key builds and implementations.
• Supervise pilot tests with partner communities, collect feedback, and devise scaling strategies.
• Convert tools into accessible documentation and training for practitioners.
• Formulate the go-to-market strategy budget and present recommendations to the Executive Team and Board of Directors.
• Proven capability to utilize current AI tools and deliver functional software.
• Proficiency across the technology stack, including APIs, prototyping, and data-related tasks.
• Experience with model deployment, security, and compliance is highly advantageous.
• A history of sound product judgment and understanding what is worthwhile to build.
• Background in managing partnerships with external entities, preferably in technology or funding.
• Ability to navigate ambiguous and rapidly changing environments.
• Strong dedication to the mission of Community Solutions.
• Knowledge of homelessness or human services is beneficial; familiarity with data is a plus, or the ability to learn quickly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to engage credibly with field users, technology partners, and funders.
• Flexible remote work from a US location.
• Travel is required to engage with communities, partners, and allies.
