Senior Construction Quality Inspector

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Oversee the quality of construction activities conducted by contracted companies for substation, transmission, distribution, and communications projects on behalf of the Owner.

• Regularly assess construction deliverables in accordance with Company designs and standards across various simultaneous projects.

• Conduct field inspections, including substantial and final completion evaluations with stakeholders.

• Offer field support during project meetings and updates.

• Organize and coordinate with construction contractors to ensure inspections are conducted in a timely manner, consistent with the construction schedule.

• Ensure quality supervision of all new construction activities.

• Review contractors' safe work practices.

• Provide field assistance to the project delivery team.

• Engage in construction request-for-information and change-order evaluations to verify field conditions against contractor claims.

• Prepare comprehensive inspection reports.


⛳️ Requirements

• Comprehensive understanding of Company operations, environmental policies, and safety practices, particularly related to line and substation projects.

• Extensive knowledge of materials, construction standards, OSHA regulations, and safety protocols in electric distribution, transmission, and substation construction.

• Proficient in PC and job/work management software, including AS8, Atlas, Mobile Maps, and the Microsoft Office Suite.

• Capability to interpret construction and vendor drawings, feeder prints, and job jacket documentation.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to foresee and quickly address issues.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent professional experience.

• A minimum of 5–10 years of experience in construction management within the power delivery sector, specifically in transmission line, distribution line, or substation project work.

• Clean driving record.

• Journeyman/Linemen License is preferred.
