This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Oversee all facets of multi-million dollar construction, refrigeration, and controls project portfolios.
• Hold accountability for project financials, administration, implementation, management, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Guide project teams through all aspects of projects and act as the designated stakeholder point of contact.
• Assist in project development initiatives to define comprehensive solutions.
• Facilitate sales activities through quote creation, project development, and proposal submissions.
• Confirm project scope, budget, and timeline by reviewing contract documents and participating in pre-bid validation meetings.
• Set customer expectations through internal discussions.
• Manage change orders by recognizing opportunities, proposing solutions, coordinating quotes, applying pricing strategies, and concluding orders.
• Ensure customer satisfaction, cultivate customer relationships, address concerns, implement corrective measures, and formulate communication plans.
• Qualify, supervise, award, and manage subcontractors, ensuring their execution meets project standards.
• Define communication protocols for subcontractors regarding project updates, meetings, billing expectations, and safety requirements.
• Oversee project financial management, including cash flow, forecasts, expenses, collections support, applied cost, and buy-out strategies.
• Prepare and present monthly backlog reviews to leadership.
• Develop and maintain project timelines, including tasks, dependencies, milestones, critical paths, and resource allocations.
• Identify future planning requirements and resource limitations.
• Collaborate with the Controls Project Manager on project tasks, communications, plans, specifications, and control submissions.
• Direct project administration, ensuring compliance with contract penalties, liquidated damages, deficiency reporting, corrective actions, business compliance, documentation, safety protocols, and regulatory agency requirements.
• In-depth understanding of the development phase associated with construction energy projects and related opportunities.
• Familiarity with construction systems and technologies.
• Exceptional leadership abilities.
• Capacity to mentor fellow project managers.
• Skill in influencing others without formal authority.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
• Proven ability to effectively lead a project team.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience.
• Ability to obtain a General Contracting license is advantageous.
• Experience with project scheduling and PM construction software.
• Willingness to travel 25% to 50% of the time.
• This is a safety-sensitive role; passing additional drug screening may be required.
