This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland, +1 more country.
• Conduct comprehensive analysis and administration of compensation programs that support the compensation strategy of SGS North America.
• Ensure that compensation programs comply with regulations, maintain external competitiveness, and uphold internal equity in both Canada and the United States.
• Confirm that compensation programs are in alignment with FLSA, pay equity laws, transparency regulations, and minimum wage standards.
• Facilitate pay equity and pay transparency reporting within Canada.
• Oversee the annual merit cycle, which includes conducting salary budget market research, system preparations, data audits, developing training materials, and training the HR community and managers.
• Collaborate with the Head of Total Rewards and the Finance team regarding annual short-term incentive payouts and monthly accruals.
• Execute timely reporting, HR data collection, and information audits.
• Manage variable compensation programs by utilizing calculation files, performing data audits, and coordinating payments with payroll.
• Lead the harmonization of job descriptions by partnering with business and HR teams.
• Develop standardized job descriptions for application across various business lines.
• Conduct job evaluations as needed.
• Create, maintain, and enhance compensation models, dashboards, and reports leveraging advanced Excel skills.
• Analyze extensive data sets to detect trends, investigate discrepancies, and enhance compensation data.
• Engage in salary survey submissions and data analysis.
• Perform ad-hoc analyses, compensation reviews, approvals for new hires or internal offers, and off-cycle adjustments.
• Provide guidance to leaders and HR professionals on the interpretation and management of compensation programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of practical compensation experience supporting Canadian and US compensation programs in a large corporate setting.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including functions, lookups, pivot tables, and data modeling.
• Professional compensation certifications such as Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) are highly preferred.
• Strong professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to interpret compensation data, cost modeling, and financial implications.
• Ability to analyze and resolve intricate, non-routine compensation scenarios that require independent judgment.
• Advanced proficiency in HR systems, MS Office applications, particularly Excel, and reporting tools.
• In-depth knowledge of and capability to interpret and apply compensation legislation in both Canada and the US.
• Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced, highly professional environment.
• Comprehensive understanding of compensation principles, job evaluation methodologies, market pricing techniques, and best practices in pay equity.
