This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +3 more states.
• Develop and oversee a dynamic pipeline of employer relationships within designated communities.
• Promote awareness of the ACT WorkKeys NCRC and encourage the use of WorkKeys workforce tools.
• Build connections with chambers of commerce and economic development organizations.
• Position WRC certification as a key asset for workforce and talent attraction.
• Manage a portfolio of Work Ready Communities and monitor certification progress.
• Identify growth opportunities and drive initiatives to advance communities.
• Expand the distribution of WorkKeys curriculum licenses, assessments, and credentials.
• Collaborate with ACT Sales for contract execution.
• Link communities to federal and state workforce funding resources.
• Foster partnerships among employers, training providers, workforce boards, and educational institutions.
• Maintain accurate CRM pipeline records.
• Deliver regular reports on employer acquisition, community development, and product expansion.
• Complete the onboarding process for the WRC six-level framework and WorkKeys product suite.
• Establish relationships with community and chamber partners and develop an outreach pipeline for employers.
• Drive employer recognitions and engage in discussions about WorkKeys curriculum licenses.
• Showcase commercial success through employer recognitions, community advancement, and product revenue growth.
• Function independently within the assigned portfolio while contributing to broader WRC strategic objectives.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in account management, business development, or economic development with a proven record of growth outcomes.
• Experience in managing a portfolio of accounts or community/government partnerships.
• Proven track record in selling or positioning workforce, education, or credentialing solutions to employers or workforce organizations.
• Proficiency in CRM systems and strong pipeline management practices.
• Exceptional presentation and communication skills for both internal and external audiences at all organizational levels.
• Willingness to travel 30–50% within the designated region.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economic Development, Workforce Development, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
• A Master's degree in business, economic development, workforce development, or a related field is preferred.
• Familiarity with federal workforce funding programs such as WIOA or Perkins is preferred.
• Experience collaborating with chambers of commerce, economic development corporations, or workforce investment boards is preferred.
• A background in consultative or solution selling within a B2B or government-adjacent context is preferred.
• Familiarity with ACT WorkKeys products and the NCRC credentialing ecosystem is preferred.
• Completion of the ACT National Career Readiness Certificate is recommended.
