This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the initiation of programs and manage daily, weekly, and monthly operations.

• Execute the technical strategy, work plan, and timeline.

• Supervise the drafting and revision of letters, emails, memos, and briefing documents for OPO Executive leadership.

• Prepare replies to inquiries from congressional bodies, GAO, media, and stakeholders.

• Assess incoming correspondence and ensure that urgent issues are promptly directed to OPO Executives.

• Develop standard operating procedures and tracking systems to maintain timely responses.

• Uphold departmental guidelines across all communication channels.

• Verify facts and proofread all deliverables to achieve zero grammatical errors and absolute accuracy.

• Maintain weekly correspondence logs and compile monthly performance reports.

• Establish a library of correspondence templates within 60 days.

• Ensure that correspondence, memoranda, and briefing materials are prepared within 2 business days of request.

• Confirm that all deliverables comply with Section 508 requirements.

• Act as the primary liaison for the Government's Executive Correspondence Support Services team.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree is required.

• A minimum of four (4) years of experience in managing federal communications, correspondence, or similar programs.

• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading abilities, with a strong grasp of executive and formal federal correspondence.

• Capability to design standard operating procedures (SOPs), tracking systems, and template libraries.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe PDF.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable DHS background suitability determination (Public Trust).

• Must be a U.S. citizen.

• Previous experience supporting DHS or another federal procurement or acquisition office is preferred.

• Experience in project management.

• Familiarity with preparing materials for congressional, GAO, or other oversight inquiries.
