This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Engage with patients regarding the repayment of medical debts.
• Meet designated resolution, call quality, and productivity objectives.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while addressing medical account balances.
• Gather financial information and profile patients effectively.
• Update demographic and financial details during interactions.
• Negotiate suitable payment arrangements with patients.
• Make outbound calls and manage incoming calls via the company’s telephone system.
• Conduct account research and navigate accounts through the appropriate client workflows.
• Utilize job aids and crosswalks to respond to patient inquiries and resolve accounts.
• Document findings from account research thoroughly.
• Liaise with patients and clients to acquire necessary account information.
• Handle accounts in accordance with client standards and federal regulations.
• Ensure high-quality account management and precise documentation of contacts.
• Adhere to FDCPA, state regulations, departmental requirements, and company compliance policies.
• Stay informed about federal and state rules and regulations, including HIPAA, FDCPA, Privacy Act, and FCRA.
• Participate in training sessions and incorporate training and policy updates into daily tasks.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in the healthcare sector.
• A minimum of six months’ experience in a call center environment; one year preferred.
• Proficiency in a Windows-based PC environment.
• Basic keyboarding skills.
• Prior experience in sales or customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Excellent listening skills and capability to follow written and/or verbal instructions.
• Good mathematical and calculator proficiency.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Skills in negotiation, counseling, and problem-solving.
• Dependable, with the ability to work flexible day, evening, and weekend hours as necessary.
• Capacity to learn the company’s collections computer and phone systems.
• Persistent, with the ability to overcome objections and eliminate barriers.
• Ability to operate at a computer terminal for 6–8 hours daily.
• Must be a resident of the United States.
