Senior Commissioning Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Conduct onsite inspections, validation, testing, and verification of electrical and mechanical equipment.

• Engage in factory witness testing.

• Monitor startup activities.

• Utilize technical equipment to perform testing.

• Execute functional testing of equipment and electrical, mechanical, and control systems.

• Diagnose issues with system components.

• Support the development of commissioning plans.

• Create pre-functional checklists and functional performance test scripts.

• Evaluate shop drawings, submittals, sequences of operations, and construction-related design documents, drawings, and specifications.

• Aid in commissioning-focused design reviews.

• Compile project progress reports for both internal and external stakeholders.

• Contribute to and assist with final commissioning reports.

• Manage personal hours using company resources.

• Complete assigned tasks and deliverables punctually and within budget.

• May lead routine projects with limited scope.

• Travel to client sites, meetings, conferences, and other business activities as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, or a related field, or two years of experience in installation, hands-on testing, validation, and troubleshooting of mechanical, controls, and/or electrical infrastructure, along with a minimum of three additional years in the same areas.

• Intermediate understanding of electrical, mechanical, and controls system principles.

• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office Suite: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.

• Outstanding organizational and file-management abilities.

• Capability to complete tasks accurately with attention to detail.

• Proficiency in leveraging AI and emerging technologies to enhance workflows and optimize operational processes.

• Ability to thrive in a remote environment with effective communication, organization, self-motivation, proactiveness, and resourcefulness.

• Capability to adhere to company and site safety protocols.

• Ability to analyze and prepare documents, reports, and correspondence.

• Effective oral and written communication of both technical and non-technical information.

• Ability to interact directly with clients and occasionally serve as the primary client contact.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team with moderate supervision.

• Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• Capacity to obtain NFPA 70E and/or OSHA training certifications as required.

• Organizational skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Valid driver’s license and capacity to rent vehicles.

• Must reside near a major airport.

• Willingness to travel up to 75% domestically, including any or all 50 U.S. states.

• Possession of a valid REAL ID or an acceptable alternative, such as a passport, for business air travel from May 7, 2025.

• Must be able to work in critical facilities, endure varying temperatures and outdoor conditions, ascend/descend stairs and ladders, enter tight or confined spaces, and occasionally lift equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
