This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Oversee the commercial proposal process from the assessment of initial opportunities to the finalization of contracts.
• Create competitive, compliant, and profitable bids for customers.
• Spearhead the development of proposals, cost estimates, pricing strategies, and terms and conditions.
• Evaluate and revise customer contracts while negotiating mutually beneficial outcomes.
• Act as the main point of contact with the Global Sales Team regarding Nuclear Installed Base opportunities.
• Coordinate efforts among cross-functional teams, including Business Leaders, Project Managers, Engineering, Finance, Contracts, Legal, Sourcing, and Account Managers.
• Design and present deal structures to Business Leadership for approval.
• Engage in customer negotiations with the deal team as necessary.
• Function as a technical and commercial Risk Manager within the GE commercial risk framework.
• Maintain the GE Customer Relationship Management System (SalesForce) and Cost Estimating tools (FinSum).
• Support the commercial team and business unit metrics pertaining to the Inquiry to Order process.
• Ensure a smooth transition of contracts to the delivery team.
• Assist in guiding management decision-making while reducing commercial risk.
• Propel successful business outcomes through strategic proposal development, commercial risk management, and contract negotiation.
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
• At least 5 years of experience in Commercial Operations, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the Nuclear industry.
• Experience with nuclear refueling outages or related services.
• Proficiency in customer specification review, proposal development, and/or commercial negotiations.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
• Strong presentation skills, capable of interfacing at all levels within GEV and with customers.
• Experience in developing and/or reviewing contract terms.
• Familiarity with United States Government contracting is advantageous.
• Comprehensive business knowledge, financial acumen, and analytical capabilities.
• Experience in risk analysis, including mitigation strategies.
• Capacity to motivate a team and enforce operational rigor.
• Ability to gain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information, if applicable.
