This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee risk management processes during the commercial Inquiry-to-Order phase.
• Lead negotiations with customers to secure an acceptable risk profile for GE.
• Collaborate with approvers and subject-matter experts as necessary.
• Review, revise, and negotiate customer terms, conditions, and other commercial documents.
• Take ownership of the ComOps and related risk management processes, tools, and governance instances.
• Ensure consistency in ITO operations and compliance with policies, processes, and metrics.
• Initiate early engagement, strategy formulation, and approvals with regional teams, product management, operations, and support functions.
• Work closely with tendering teams to produce high-quality, competitive proposals.
• Align commercial strategies with regional plans concerning orders, cash flow, and margins.
• Assist in designing and implementing proposal standards and innovative commercial models.
• Facilitate a smooth transition of signed contracts to the operations team.
• Collaborate with various functions and contribute to broader GSI initiatives across North America and globally.
• Oversee transactional reviews and ensure compliance for US Government opportunities.
• Engage with US Government governance teams within GE Vernova and Electrification.
• Coordinate corporate efforts related to US Government contracts across Grid Solutions, including SAM registration, DOE funding initiatives, and audit compliance.
• Support the OTR Contract Management team regarding US Government initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Legal, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• At least 7 years of experience in Commercial Operations, contract management, sales, tendering, bid management, and/or project management within the energy sector (T&D, Power Generation, Oil & Gas), industrial, or infrastructure domains.
• Proven experience with complex projects, including the development of intricate proposals or structuring multifaceted deals.
• Comprehensive understanding of contractual terms and conditions.
• Demonstrated ability to structure and negotiate contracts to mitigate business risks.
• Experience with High Voltage projects, including AC Substations, HVDC, and FACTS technologies.
• Familiarity with complex service contracts, including Long-Term Service Agreements.
• Knowledge of US Government contracting processes, including FARs, DFARs, COTS, Buy America, etc.
• Strong skills in contract negotiation and management.
• Insight into electrical transmission and distribution projects or power projects.
• Ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams effectively.
• Prior experience in the Energy industry.
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities.
• Self-reliant with the ability to manage programs independently.
• Strategic thinker with a commitment to operational excellence.
• Change agent possessing strong business acumen.
• Familiarity with SPEAK4GE (SFDC).
