This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee risk management processes during the commercial Inquiry-to-Order phase.
• Lead negotiations with customers to maintain an acceptable risk profile for GE.
• Collaborate with approvers and subject-matter experts as necessary.
• Review and amend customer terms and conditions along with other commercial documents.
• Take ownership of ComOps and related risk processes, tools, and governance instances.
• Ensure that ITO operations are consistent with policies, processes, and metrics.
• Promote early engagement and strategy development while obtaining approvals from regional, product management, operations, and support functions.
• Collaborate with the tendering team to create high-quality, winning proposals.
• Partner with sales to align the commercial strategy with regional objectives for orders, cash, and margin.
• Assist in the design and implementation of proposal standards and new commercial models.
• Facilitate a smooth transition of signed contracts to the operations team.
• Contribute to broader North America and global GSI initiatives.
• Manage transactional review and compliance processes for US Government opportunities.
• Engage with US Government governance teams across GE Vernova and Electrification.
• Coordinate corporate efforts related to US Government across Grid Solutions, including SAM registration, DOE funding initiatives, and audit requirements.
• Support the OTR Contract Management team in US Government efforts.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Legal, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university or college.
• At least 7 years of experience in Commercial Operations, contract management, sales, tendering, bid management, and/or project management within energy (T&D, Power Generation, Oil & Gas), industrial, or infrastructure sectors.
• Proven experience with complex projects, developing intricate proposals, or structuring complicated deals.
• Comprehensive understanding of contractual terms and conditions.
• Expertise in structuring and negotiating contracts to mitigate business risk.
• Experience with High Voltage projects, including AC Substations, HVDC, and FACTS technologies.
• Familiarity with complex services contracts, including Long-Term Service Agreements.
• Knowledge of US Government contracting, including FARs, DFARs, COTS, Buy America, etc.
• Strong skills in contract negotiation and management.
• Understanding of electrical transmission and distribution projects or power projects.
• Previous experience in the Energy sector.
• Familiarity with SPEAK4GE (SFDC).
• Ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams effectively.
• Exceptional oral and written communication and presentation abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities.
• Self-sufficient with the ability to manage programs effectively.
• Capacity for strategic thinking combined with operational rigor.
• Change-agent mindset with robust business acumen.
