
Senior Commercial Counsel – Government Contracting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Prepare, review, and negotiate intricate government contracts
• Ensure adherence to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and specific agency guidelines
• Provide guidance throughout the product development and government contracting process
• Assist in the government sales strategy and review of solicitations
• Aid in bid submissions, negotiations, implementation, and ongoing compliance with regulatory and government contracts
• Enhance commercial legal templates, playbooks, and operational processes
• Promote automation and efficiencies in collaboration with the Legal Ops team
• Stay updated on regulatory and policy changes
• Collaborate with and oversee outside counsel on complex and unique legal inquiries
• Contribute to other facets of the commercial legal function during periods of reduced government contracting workload
• Work alongside sales, partner success, security, product, technical, and commercial legal teams
• Over 7 years of experience in a legal role, with a minimum of 3 years focused on government contracting and related compliance
• Capability to advise on the implementation of government contracts and ongoing adherence
• Skill in translating contract obligations into internal procedures and evaluating compliance
• Proficiency in managing tight deadlines, competing demands, and a high volume of contracts
• Commitment to Abridge’s mission and ability to support a dynamic commercial team
• Customer-service oriented mindset and a cooperative approach to negotiations
• Ability to work autonomously within a small team that values independence and trust
• Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration with technical, security, and sales teams
• Ability to build relationships and gain stakeholder trust
• Innovative thinking in addressing novel contractual issues and developing new contractual strategies and language
• Familiarity with bid protest procedures is beneficial but not mandatory
• Experience in healthcare or healthcare technology is advantageous but not essential
• Authorization to work in the United States
