Senior Commercial Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Act as a key member of Optro’s growing legal team.

• Concentrate on Enterprise and Strategic deals while supporting Area Directors and their teams.

• Take charge of legal negotiations with customers independently.

• Offer general advice on subscription agreements, data processing agreements, partner agreements, and vendor agreements.

• Develop initiatives to optimize Optro’s contracting process as the company expands.

• Collaborate with potential customers, partners, vendors, internal stakeholders, and executives in sales and information security.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of in-house transactional experience involving customers, partners, vendors, internal stakeholders, and executives.

• At least 5 years of experience in negotiating SaaS agreements, Amendments, and Order Forms with enterprise customers.

• Comprehensive understanding of the complete contract lifecycle from NDA through internal approvals and signature.

• Outstanding organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Proficient in editing and managing contracts using Microsoft Office and Google Product Suites.

• A growth mindset with the capacity to manage multiple concurrent projects to completion within required timelines.

• A collaborative mentality and the flexibility to address unique issues in real-time.

• Licensed to practice law and in good standing in their state of residence.
