This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Peru.

📋 Description

• Oversee and prioritize a portfolio of complex delinquent commercial accounts with high balances, focusing on risk, balance, and aging.

• Assess the financial health and cash flow of businesses to create feasible repayment plans, settlements, and workout arrangements within authorized limits.

• Serve as the main escalation point for sensitive, high-value, or severe-risk collection cases.

• Perform due diligence, financial research, and risk assessments to minimize potential losses and avoid pre-charge-offs.

• Monitor, analyze, and report on portfolio performance metrics and delinquency trends directly to management.

• Ensure full compliance with FDCPA standards, state and federal regulations, and internal compliance protocols.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, Customer Service, and Sales teams to address recurring payment defaults.

• Guide junior collections team members on best practices in negotiation, compliance, and dispute resolution.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in collections dealing with complex, high-balance, or high-risk accounts within fintech, merchant cash advance (MCA), commercial lending, or B2B financial services.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

• Outstanding verbal and written English skills (C1/C2 level).

• Demonstrated abilities in de-escalation, conflict resolution, and negotiation.

• Proficient in CRM systems, collections software, ACH banking processes, and Microsoft Excel.

• Comprehensive knowledge of FDCPA guidelines and U.S. commercial collections regulations.

• Capability to work remotely in LATAM during U.S. business hours.

• Access to a laptop and a reliable internet connection.
