Senior Collections Specialist – Fintech, Commercial Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee and prioritize a portfolio of complex delinquent commercial accounts with high balances, considering risk, balance, and aging.

• Assess business cash flow and financial stability to create repayment plans, settlements, and workout arrangements within authorized limits.

• Serve as the main escalation point for sensitive, high-value, or high-risk collection cases.

• Perform due diligence, financial research, and risk assessments to reduce losses and avert pre-charge-offs.

• Monitor, analyze, and report on portfolio performance metrics and delinquency trends directly to management.

• Ensure compliance with FDCPA standards, state and federal regulations, and internal compliance protocols.

• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Customer Service, and Sales teams to address ongoing payment defaults.

• Provide mentorship to junior collections team members on negotiation best practices, compliance, and dispute resolution.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of collections experience managing complex, high-balance, or high-risk accounts in fintech, merchant cash advance (MCA), commercial lending, or B2B financial services.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (C1/C2).

• Demonstrated ability in de-escalation, conflict resolution, and negotiation.

• Proficient in CRM systems, collections software, ACH banking processes, and Microsoft Excel.

• Comprehensive knowledge of FDCPA guidelines and U.S. commercial collections regulations.

• Must reside in Latin America.

• Availability to work during U.S. business hours.
