This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the daily operations related to supplier commission revenue and the collections process for hotels and rental cars.
• Lead, mentor, and nurture a team of commission collections specialists.
• Establish objectives, ensure team accountability to key performance indicators (KPIs), and facilitate their professional and personal development.
• Manage the complete invoicing, collections, and reconciliation processes for hotel and supplier commission activities.
• Coordinate the posting of cash receipts to the General Ledger while maintaining and reviewing Accounts Receivable Aging reports.
• Execute and oversee reconciliations for high-volume commission and incentive payment data sets.
• Recognize and introduce enhancements and automation opportunities within processes.
• Collaborate with departments such as Accounting, Finance, Sales, Accounts Receivable, Reconciliation, Groups Contracting, Data Analysts, Member Support, and Supply.
• Engage with hotel and supplier representatives to address discrepancies and pursue outstanding payments.
• Administer third-party tools and processes that facilitate hotel invoicing and payment operations.
• Report metrics including collection percentage, dispute rates, Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), and aging statistics to senior management.
• Participate in ad-hoc projects and cross-departmental initiatives.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in commission collections, accounts receivable, or operations.
• At least 5 years of direct experience in people management.
• Experience in the hotel, travel supplier, or a related industry is advantageous.
• Strong financial understanding, particularly in AR, cash application, and General Ledger processes.
• A degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with both internal teams and external hotel/supplier contacts.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite is preferred; Salesforce is a plus).
• Proficient in advanced Excel and Google Sheets.
• Competent in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Detail-oriented and well-organized.
• Capable of managing multiple priorities during a monthly close cycle.
