Senior Collections Specialist – Fintech, Commercial Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Oversee and prioritize a portfolio of complex delinquent commercial accounts with high balances, considering risk, balance, and aging.

• Assess business cash flow and financial stability to create feasible repayment plans, settlements, and workout arrangements within authorized limits.

• Serve as the main escalation contact for sensitive, high-value, or critically risky collection cases.

• Perform due diligence, financial research, and risk assessments to reduce losses and avert pre-charge-offs.

• Monitor, analyze, and report on portfolio performance metrics and delinquency trends directly to management.

• Guarantee complete compliance with FDCPA standards, state and federal regulations, and internal compliance policies.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, Customer Service, and Sales teams to address the underlying causes of recurring payment defaults.

• Guide junior collections team members on best practices for negotiation, compliance, and dispute resolution.

⛳️ Requirements

• More than 5 years of collections experience managing complex, high-balance, or high-risk accounts in fintech, merchant cash advances (MCA), commercial lending, or B2B financial services.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

• Outstanding verbal and written English skills (C1/C2) with demonstrated capabilities in de-escalation, conflict resolution, and negotiation.

• Proficient in CRM systems, collections software, ACH banking processes, and Microsoft Excel.

• In-depth knowledge of FDCPA guidelines and U.S. commercial collections regulations.
