This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Oversee and prioritize a portfolio of complex, high-balance delinquent commercial accounts, considering factors such as risk, balance, and aging.

• Assess business cash flow and financial stability to develop repayment plans, settlements, and workout arrangements within established authority limits.

• Serve as the primary escalation contact for sensitive, high-value, or high-risk collections cases.

• Perform due diligence, conduct financial research, and carry out risk assessments to reduce losses and avert pre-charge-offs.

• Monitor, analyze, and report on portfolio performance metrics and delinquency trends directly to management.

• Ensure compliance with FDCPA standards, state and federal regulations, and internal compliance protocols.

• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Customer Service, and Sales teams to address recurring payment defaults.

• Guide junior collections team members on negotiation best practices, compliance issues, and dispute resolution techniques.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of collections experience managing complex, high-balance, or high-risk accounts in fintech, merchant cash advance (MCA), commercial lending, or B2B financial services.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).

• Outstanding verbal and written English proficiency (C1/C2).

• Demonstrated abilities in de-escalation, conflict resolution, and negotiation.

• Familiarity with CRM systems, collections software, ACH banking processes, and Microsoft Excel.

• Comprehensive knowledge of FDCPA regulations and U.S. commercial collections laws.

• Must reside in Latin America.

• Availability to work during U.S. business hours.
