Senior Cloud Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +8 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist in the development and management of Enterprise API platforms such as APIGEE across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.

• Execute the Enterprise API Platforms Engineering and Operations strategy through design, planning, integration, maintenance, and support activities.

• Create specifications for new IT cloud computing products and service offerings.

• Implement API solutions utilizing API Management platforms, encompassing API proxies, rate limiting, security measures, and analytics.

• Develop software to monitor and manage the environments, networks, systems, and applications of Enterprise API and Integration platforms.

• Collaborate with architects to set up CI/CD pipelines for efficient and secure software integration and delivery.

• Partner with API and Integration platform architects on design, implementation, testing, production deployment, and ongoing support.

• Promote the development and communication of solutions to both technical and business stakeholders.

• Identify technical dependencies and obstacles, working with cross-functional teams to eliminate them.

• Occasionally travel to Humana offices for training or meetings as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in Enterprise API Management and Integration Platforms like APIGEE or IBM APIC.

• At least 3 years of hands-on cloud engineering experience with Azure, AWS, and/or GCP, focused on building cloud technology solutions.

• Proficiency in cloud architecture, inclusive of infrastructure, storage, networking, security, and cost management.

• Skilled in utilizing Azure and GCP tools, Bash shell scripts, Terraform, and other utilities for creating and configuring cloud assets.

• Experience in installing, configuring, deploying, and maintaining API Management platforms such as APIGEE.

• Competence in developing APIs in APIGEE and troubleshooting issues related to API failures.

• Familiarity with Postman and JMeter.

• Understanding of XML, JSON, SOAP, REST, OAuth 2.0, Basic Auth, JWT, SSO implementation, XML/JSON transformations, logging policies, KVM, and caching techniques.

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline implementation for Apigee.

• Expertise in Kubernetes for application deployment, scaling, and management.

• Experience with containerization technologies.

• Highly self-motivated and directed, with strong attention to detail.

• Eagerness to learn new technologies and identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.

• A Master's degree is preferred.

• Experience in translating software features and architecture into infrastructure requirements is preferred.

• Proficiency in Python is preferred.

• Cloud certifications are preferred.

• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and Lean project execution methodologies is preferred.

• Reliable home internet service with a minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps.
