Senior Cloud Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and automate security measures for cloud infrastructure on AWS and GCP.

• Maintain, integrate, and enhance cloud security tools, focusing on cloud security posture management and vulnerability platforms.

• Investigate and resolve security vulnerabilities within cloud infrastructure until closure.

• Create and implement access controls in cloud and Kubernetes environments, adhering to zero-trust principles.

• Collaborate with incident response teams to establish detections for cloud infrastructure and analyze and mitigate security incidents.

• Develop security standards and guidelines for engineering teams and incorporate them into CI/CD and GitOps workflows.

• Work alongside compliance teams on ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR requirements, converting them into technical controls.

• Conduct architecture reviews, threat modeling, and code reviews in partnership with engineering and product teams.

• Independently lead security projects by scoping, planning, and driving cross-functional efforts to completion.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-7+ years of experience in cloud security or in security-centric infrastructure/DevOps engineering.

• Practical experience in securing containerized environments and Kubernetes.

• Strong knowledge of AWS; familiarity with GCP is preferred.

• Experience with infrastructure-as-code solutions.

• Proficient in one or more programming or scripting languages, such as Python, for automation purposes.

• Familiarity with cloud security posture management or similar security tools.

• Ability to manage problems end-to-end and drive projects with minimal oversight.

• Excellent communication skills across teams.

• Experience in integrating security within CI/CD pipelines and DevOps/GitOps workflows.

• Hands-on experience with threat modeling and conducting security architecture reviews.

• Practical experience in handling compliance requirements and translating them into technical controls.

• Relevant security certifications, such as CKS, are a plus.
