Senior Cloud Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design and develop cloud-oriented network solutions utilizing Oracle Cloud, AWS, or Azure.

• Oversee and uphold network security measures, which include firewalls, VPNs, and access controls.

• Monitor network efficiency and resolve connectivity challenges.

• Guarantee high availability of network services.

• Manage the lifecycle of network components, encompassing upgrades, patching, and migrations.

• Collaborate with IT teams to merge cloud services with on-premises systems.

• Work with the security team to devise and implement security solutions.

• Strengthen and secure cloud systems.

• Automate tasks related to network provisioning and configuration.

• Keep abreast of industry trends and suggest enhancements.

• Create and update documentation for network configuration and procedures.

• Take part in an on-call rotation for network emergencies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Technical Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, MIS, or a related field.

• Over 3 years of experience as a Network Engineer with a focus on cloud-based solutions.

• In-depth understanding of cloud networking concepts, including VPCs, VNCs, VNets, and Direct Connect/Fast Connect/ExpressRoute.

• Familiarity with network security tools and technologies.

• Proficient in scripting and automation, such as Python and PowerShell.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and communication skills.

• Capacity to work effectively in a collaborative team setting.

• Preferred: Network certifications in Oracle OCI, AWS, or Azure.

• Ability to operate with minimal supervision and drive operational improvements.
