Senior Cloud Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Contribute to the design of cloud products and systems.

• Develop code to address intricate challenges, finalize logic algorithms, and execute system designs in accordance with established standards.

• Collaborate with teams throughout the organization to resolve complex software issues in the cloud.

• Architect and oversee the implementation of CI/CD pipelines within Azure environments, emphasizing quality, security, and automation.

• Define Azure engineering standards, procedures, and best practices to enhance operational efficiency, security, performance, reliability, deliverability, quality, and cost optimization.

• Serve as a point of escalation for complex production problems, code issues, and low-level customer support requests.

• Guide, mentor, train, and provide constructive feedback to team members.

• Promote continuous improvement and excellence in cloud engineering throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

• Over 5 years of experience in software development, cloud engineering, or a related technical field.

• Proven experience in at least one cloud-related engineering domain, including the development and delivery of enterprise applications and supporting cloud software in production settings.

• Familiarity with one or more public cloud service providers.

• Experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines.

• Proficiency with infrastructure as code deployments and associated systems.

• Understanding of cloud-native design principles.

• Experience in building systems that comply with rigorous quality, security, and compliance standards.

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills with a strong executive presence.

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to independently manage projects to completion.

• Knowledge of general-purpose programming languages.

• Experience with cloud-native architectures.

• Excellent collaboration skills.

• Proven track record in continuous improvement.

• Experience in identifying and engaging in cloud technology research, proof of concepts (POCs), and innovation initiatives.
