This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Act as a device specialist representing Medtronic during surgical procedures.
• Ensure that all necessary equipment and products are readily available.
• Provide technical assistance and guidance on device selection.
• Conduct programming and testing of device systems.
• Support patients throughout all stages of the clinical process and educate them on Medtronic products.
• Offer clinical assistance during surgeries, reprogramming, troubleshooting, and follow-ups in both hospitals and clinics.
• Train and educate physicians, hospital staff, and office personnel on products and therapies.
• Organize teaching sessions, in-services, educational programs, seminars, and symposia.
• Address device-related questions from customers and patients.
• Comply with company policies and complete event reporting and documentation.
• Oversee inventory for case coverage, including transactions, cycle counts, product retrievals, and expiration/hold controls.
• Contribute to quarterly goals at the district, regional, and national levels.
• Stay informed about competitive products.
• Visit accounts and nurture relationships with healthcare providers and office staff.
• Place orders for pending purchase orders and product replacements.
• Gather purchase orders for covered cases.
• Assist management and Sales Training with the education of new employees.
• Utilize Excel, mobile devices, iPads, laptops, and/or Samsung tablets.
• Manage business expenses and budgets effectively.
• Serve as a clinical leader and primary contact for complex case coverage and troubleshooting.
• Engage in territory business planning aligned with sales objectives.
• Act as a field trainer and mentor for Associate Clinical Specialists and Clinical Specialists.
• Complete therapy and corporate compliance training.
• Travel as needed to cover district cases.
• High School Diploma or GED with at least 8 years of clinical or medical sales experience; or an Associate Degree with a minimum of 6 years of clinical or medical sales experience; or a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of clinical or medical sales experience.
• Must reside within the designated territory and travel to multiple accounts within the region.
• Valid driver's license and an active vehicle insurance policy are required.
• Must possess unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and throughout the duration of employment.
• Ability to adhere to healthcare universal precautions to reduce exposure to infectious diseases and radiation.
• Capability to serve as the primary resource for both scheduled and unscheduled clinical events, including weekends, evenings, nights, and overnight travel.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal direction outside of clinical events.
• Willingness to attend national meetings, district meetings, and other required training sessions.
• Capacity to wear a protective lead apron weighing 7-9 lbs for extended periods in the operating room.
• Ability to lift weights up to 40 lbs.
• Capability to sit, stand, and/or walk for over 8 hours each day.
• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, squat, and maintain balance.
• Close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus are essential.
• For degrees obtained outside of the United States, a degree compliant with 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is necessary.
