This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Provide support for the Deep Brain Stimulation Therapy group by offering surgical coverage, follow-up assistance, troubleshooting, customer service, and education within the designated territory.
• Travel to various accounts across the Los Angeles region.
• Conduct on-site education and consulting sessions.
• Assist field personnel in achieving outcomes and delivering services to Medtronic customers.
• Engage in conventions, forums, and meetings to enhance product visibility.
• Collaborate with DBS Sales and Clinical teams for customer case coverage and sales assistance.
• Function as a technical resource to support the sales of assigned medical products or solutions.
• Stay updated on assigned and competitor products and services.
• Proactively identify needs and educate caregivers and account staff.
• Train and educate physicians, hospital staff, and office personnel on technical aspects of products and therapies.
• Perform basic market development tasks as necessary.
• Act as the primary resource for both scheduled and unscheduled clinical events.
• High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 8 years of clinical or medical sales experience; or an Associate Degree with at least 6 years of clinical or medical sales experience; or a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of clinical or medical sales experience.
• Possession of a valid driver's license and an active vehicle insurance policy.
• Unrestricted U.S. work authorization is required at the time of hire and throughout employment; sponsorship is not available below the Principal level.
• Capability to utilize healthcare universal precautions.
• Willingness to work weekends, evenings, and nights as needed.
• Ability to travel overnight within one's own or neighboring districts.
• Aptitude to work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision.
• Capability to attend national meetings, district meetings, and training sessions.
• Ability to wear a 7–9 lbs protective lead apron for extended periods.
• Capacity to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for more than 8 hours a day.
• Competence to bend/stoop, squat, and balance on a frequent basis.
• Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
• A Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field is preferred.
• A Master's degree is preferred.
• Experience as a registered nurse or healthcare professional in a sterile setting is preferred.
• Clinical experience with implantable neurological products and patient care is preferred.
• Experience providing service to medical personnel regarding product usage is preferred.
• Background with a medical device or pharmaceutical company is preferred.
• Clinical experience in neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, operating room settings, pain management, or home health care is preferred.
• Basic comprehension of reimbursement and the healthcare environment is preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to perform well under pressure are preferred.
