Senior Clinical Sales Specialist – Diagnostics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Formulate and implement strategic territory and account plans aimed at achieving sales and revenue targets.

• Identify, evaluate, and cultivate new business opportunities within hospitals, reference laboratories, physician office laboratories, and other pertinent customer segments.

• Establish and nurture robust relationships with key customers and stakeholders throughout the sales process.

• Utilize a consultative selling methodology to comprehend customer applications, laboratory workflows, business objectives, and technical specifications.

• Position suitable products, services, and solutions tailored to customer requirements.

• Oversee intricate sales opportunities from lead generation and qualification to negotiation, contracting, and closure.

• Create and negotiate proposals and agreements, including complex and multi-year opportunities, when applicable.

• Collaborate with internal commercial, technical, service, marketing, and other cross-functional teams to provide a seamless customer experience.

• Keep an accurate record of sales pipelines, account activities, customer information, and forecasts using CRM and sales tracking tools.

• Evaluate territory performance, market trends, competitive activities, and customer preferences to uncover growth avenues.

• Conduct customer meetings, presentations, product discussions, and business reviews through both in-person and virtual interactions.

• Enhance customer satisfaction and foster long-term account growth by ensuring consistent communication and coordinating necessary internal resources.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience is required.

• A degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, or a related discipline is preferred.

• Over 5 years of sales experience in life sciences, laboratory diagnostics, healthcare, or a related field is preferred.

• Proven experience in generating leads, qualifying opportunities, and cultivating new business.

• Demonstrated ability in managing customer relationships and advancing opportunities through a complex sales cycle.

• Experience in effectively collaborating within cross-functional or matrixed organizations.

• Capability to understand technical products, customer applications, and laboratory workflows.

• Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship management skills.

• Excellent communication skills with customers and internal stakeholders at various levels.

• Robust analytical skills, including market analysis, sales performance tracking, forecasting, and pipeline management.

• Ability to comprehend and navigate relevant product, technical, and regulatory considerations.

• Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Proficiency with CRM platforms, sales tracking tools, and Microsoft Office applications.

• Competence in independently managing a geographically dispersed sales territory and prioritizing multiple customer and business demands.

• Ability to collaborate effectively across diverse, cross-functional teams.

• Willingness to travel approximately 50–75% within the designated territory.

• Candidates should reside within the territory with reasonable access to a major airport.

• Relocation assistance is not available.
