Senior Clinical Pharmacologist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Oversee clinical pharmacology strategies throughout early and late-stage drug development initiatives.

• Utilize model-informed drug development methodologies to assist in dose selection, patient population strategies, biomarkers, and optimization of endpoints.

• Collaborate with Pharmacometricians to create and implement pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) modeling and simulation strategies.

• Contribute to translational medicine efforts, preclinical study design, and First-in-Human (FIH) studies, including single ascending dose (SAD) and multiple ascending dose (MAD) selection.

• Offer clinical pharmacology expertise to cross-functional teams, governance discussions, and critical development decision-making processes.

• Assist with regulatory submissions and address inquiries from health authorities.

• Foster collaboration among preclinical, clinical, regulatory, and quantitative sciences teams to promote the advancement of development programs.

• Remain informed about emerging trends and innovations in clinical pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, biopharmaceutics, and quantitative drug development.


⛳️ Requirements

• Doctorate in Biological Sciences, Bioengineering, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.

• Significant experience in clinical pharmacology, pharmaceutical development, or a related industry environment.

• Strong practical knowledge in clinical pharmacology strategy, study design, PK/PD modeling, and quantitative data analysis.

• Profound understanding of model-informed drug development and its application throughout the drug development lifecycle.

• Experience in supporting translational medicine initiatives and early clinical development programs, including FIH studies.

• Strong familiarity with innovative techniques in clinical pharmacokinetics, biopharmaceutics, and PK/PD modeling.

• Comprehensive understanding of global drug development processes and regulatory standards.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with a talent for influencing and aligning scientific and business functions.

• Proven capability to lead intricate scientific discussions and contribute to strategic development decisions.

• Legal authorization to work in the country where the position is located.
