This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Utilize specialized clinical expertise to classify, code, summarize, interpret, and compute registry/case information derived from patient medical records.
β’ Ensure the precise submission of data to designated registries or data measurement repositories.
β’ Prioritize, organize, and adhere to tight deadlines while managing multiple concurrent tasks and team requests.
β’ Manage expectations, identify obstacles, and propose timely solutions.
β’ Navigate through electronic medical records and registry/case entry tools effectively.
β’ Address and resolve technical issues related to systems and applications.
β’ Contribute to the establishment of team best practices, data dictionaries, abstraction guidelines, and business rule documents.
β’ Recognize opportunities for process improvements.
β’ Remain up-to-date on mandated regulatory requirements and publicly reported data standards.
β’ Undertake additional assigned responsibilities as needed.
β’ Experience in direct clinical surveillance.
β’ Possession of an active CIC certification.
β’ Familiarity with various patient medical record systems (EMRs) and clinical databases.
β’ Intermediate skills in MS Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
β’ Legally authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without requiring sponsorship.
β’ Direct clinical experience as an Infection Preventionist is preferred.
β’ Credentials as an RN, LPN, RT RVT, or RCIS are preferred.
β’ Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
β’ High standards for precision and attention to detail.
β’ Technologically adept with a willingness to learn new systems and technologies.
β’ Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects/patient records.
β’ Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
β’ Strong self-organization and time management capabilities.
β’ Ability to adjust to shifting timelines, requirements, and assignments.
