This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Utilize specialized clinical expertise to classify, code, summarize, interpret, and compute registry/case information from detailed patient medical records.
• Ensure the precise submission of data to the designated registries or measure data repositories.
• Prioritize, organize, and meet strict deadlines across various simultaneous tasks and team requests.
• Manage expectations, identify obstacles, and suggest prompt solutions.
• Navigate through electronic medical records and registry/case entry systems.
• Resolve technical issues related to systems and applications.
• Contribute to team best practices, data dictionaries, abstraction guidelines, and business rule documentation.
• Recognize opportunities for process improvements to enhance task efficiency.
• Remain updated on required regulatory and publicly reported data standards from federal, state, payer, and other relevant agencies.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Experience in direct clinical surveillance.
• A valid CIC certification is required.
• Familiarity with multiple patient medical record systems (EMRs) and clinical databases.
• Intermediate skills in MS Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without sponsorship.
• Credentials such as RN, LPN, RT RVT, or RCIS are preferred.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
• High standards for precision and attention to detail.
• Technical proficiency and a willingness to learn new systems and technologies.
• Capacity to work independently and take responsibility for projects/patient records.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong self-organization and time management capabilities.
• Ability to adapt to changing timelines, requirements, and project assignments from hospital partners.
