Senior Clinical Data Abstractor – PT

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Categorize, code, summarize, interpret, and compute registry/case information from detailed patient medical records.

• Ensure precise data submission to designated registries or measure data repositories.

• Prioritize, organize, and finalize multiple simultaneous tasks and team requests under strict deadlines.

• Manage expectations, identify obstacles, and propose timely solutions.

• Navigate electronic medical record (EMR) and registry/case-entry systems.

• Troubleshoot technical issues related to systems and applications.

• Contribute to team best practices, data dictionaries, abstraction guidelines, and business rule documents.

• Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance task efficiency.

• Stay updated on regulatory and publicly reported data requirements.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Direct clinical abstraction experience of at least 1 year.

• RN or LPN credential or significant clinical experience.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.

• High standards for precision and attention to detail.

• Technical proficiency and eagerness to learn new systems and technologies.

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects and patient records.

• Clear and consistent communication with hospital partners, colleagues, team leads, and others.

• Strong self-organization and time management capabilities.

• Ability to adapt to changes in hospital partner timelines, requirements, and project assignments.

• Ability to maintain the security and confidentiality of PHI.

• Legal authorization to work in the United States now or in the future without sponsorship.

• Direct experience with Vascular Quality Initiative abstraction.

• Direct abstraction experience in BMC2 VIC.

• Exposure to various EMR systems and clinical databases.

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Experience with M2S software.

• Experience abstracting at least one listed module.

• Experience abstracting Inferior Vena Cava Filter (required).
