This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Classify, code, summarize, interpret, and compute registry/case information from detailed patient medical records.
• Guarantee the precise submission of data to designated registries or data measure repositories.
• Organize and prioritize multiple simultaneous tasks and team requests while adhering to stringent deadlines.
• Manage expectations, identify challenges, and suggest timely solutions.
• Utilize electronic medical records and registry/case entry tools effectively.
• Resolve technical issues related to systems and applications.
• Contribute to the development of team best practices, data dictionaries, abstraction guidelines, and business rule documents.
• Recognize opportunities for process enhancements to optimize tasks and workflows.
• Stay informed of required regulatory standards and publicly reported data requirements.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
• A minimum of one year of direct abstraction experience in the Get With the Guidelines Stroke registry.
• Familiarity with various patient medical record systems (EMRs) and clinical databases.
• Intermediate skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, Teams, OneNote, and SharePoint).
• Exceptional analytical and critical thinking abilities.
• High standards for precision and attention to detail.
• Technologically adept with a willingness to learn new systems and technologies.
• Capability to work independently and take ownership of projects/patient records.
• Clear and consistent communication with hospital partners, colleagues, team leaders, and others.
• Strong self-management and time management skills to handle multiple accounts and changing priorities.
• Ability to adjust to modifications in hospital partner timelines, requirements, and project assignments.
• Capacity to maintain the security and confidentiality of PHI.
• Direct clinical experience (Preferred).
• RN or LPN credentials (Preferred).
