This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Utilize specialized clinical expertise to assist hospital partners.
• Classify, code, summarize, interpret, and compute registry or case data from detailed patient medical records.
• Guarantee the precise submission of data to designated registries or data measure repositories.
• Prioritize, organize, and adhere to strict deadlines while managing multiple simultaneous tasks and team requests.
• Manage expectations, identify obstacles, and suggest timely resolutions.
• Navigate electronic medical records and tools for registry/case entry.
• Resolve technical issues related to systems and applications.
• Contribute to team best practices, data dictionaries, abstraction guidelines, and business rule documents.
• Recognize opportunities for process improvements to enhance task efficiency.
• Remain updated on required regulatory and publicly reported data standards.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Minimum of one year of direct abstraction experience in the Get With the Guidelines Stroke registry.
• Familiarity with various patient medical record systems (EMRs) and clinical databases.
• Intermediate skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, Teams, OneNote, and SharePoint).
• Strong analytical capabilities and critical thinking skills.
• High standards for precision and attention to detail.
• Technologically adept with a willingness to learn new systems and technologies.
• Capability to work independently and take ownership of projects/patient records.
• Clear and consistent communication with hospital partners, colleagues, team leads, and others.
• Strong organizational skills and effective time management while handling multiple accounts.
• Ability to adapt to evolving timelines, requirements, and project assignments from hospital partners.
• Competence in maintaining the security and confidentiality of PHI.
• Direct clinical experience is preferred.
• RN or LPN credentials are preferred.
