Senior Clinical Data Abstractor – Core Measures

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Classify, code, summarize, interpret, and compute registry/case information from detailed patient medical records.

• Guarantee the accurate submission of data into designated registries or measure data repositories.

• Maintain a high standard of accuracy.

• Organize, prioritize, and meet stringent deadlines for various simultaneous tasks and team requests.

• Manage expectations, identify challenges, and suggest prompt solutions.

• Navigate electronic medical records (EMR), registries, and case-entry tools.

• Resolve technical issues with systems and applications by utilizing team resources.

• Contribute to team best practices, data dictionaries, abstraction guidelines, and business rule documents.

• Recognize opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency in tasks and workflows.

• Stay updated on required regulatory and publicly reported data stipulations from federal, state, payer, and other entities.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as tasked.

• Operate under the guidance of the Manager or Senior Manager.

• Provide quality solutions to hospital partners nationwide.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of direct experience in Core Measures and Sepsis abstraction within the last calendar year (REQUIRED).

• Direct clinical care experience is preferred.

• RN or LPN Credential or significant clinical experience is preferred.

• Familiarity with various patient medical record systems (EMRs) and clinical databases.

• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Teams, OneNote, and SharePoint).

• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.

• High standards for precision and attention to detail.

• Technical proficiency and eagerness to learn new systems and technologies.

• Capability to work independently and take ownership of projects/patient records.

• Clear communication skills and effective collaboration with hospital partners, colleagues, team leaders, and others.

• Strong self-organization and time management skills to handle multiple accounts simultaneously.

• Ability to adapt to changing deadlines, requirements, and project assignments.

• Capability to maintain the security and confidentiality of PHI.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without sponsorship.
