This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Utilize specialized clinical expertise to analyze data from hospital partners.
• Classify, code, summarize, interpret, and compute registry/case information derived from patient medical records.
• Guarantee precise submission of data to designated registries or data repositories.
• Prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous tasks and requests from the team.
• Meet stringent deadlines and effectively manage expectations.
• Identify challenges and propose timely solutions.
• Navigate through electronic medical records and registry/case entry systems.
• Resolve technical issues related to systems and applications by utilizing team resources.
• Contribute to the development of team best practices, data dictionaries, abstraction guidelines, and business rule documentation.
• Spot opportunities for process improvements to enhance task efficiency.
• Keep abreast of mandatory regulatory and publicly reported data requirements.
• Carry out additional assigned duties.
• Operate under the guidance of the Manager or Senior Manager.
• Provide high-quality solutions to hospital partners nationwide.
• A minimum of 1 year of direct experience in Core Measures and Sepsis abstraction within the past calendar year (REQUIRED).
• Direct experience in clinical care (preferred).
• RN or LPN credentials or significant clinical experience (preferred).
• Familiarity with various patient medical record systems (EMRs) and clinical databases.
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Teams, OneNote, and SharePoint).
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
• High standards for precision and detail orientation.
• Technical proficiency and eagerness to learn new systems and technologies.
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility for projects and patient records.
• Clear communication skills with the ability to adapt style and tone for effective collaboration.
• Excellent self-organization and time management capabilities.
• Capacity to handle multiple accounts along with changing timelines and priorities.
• Flexibility to adapt to changes in project timelines, requirements, and assignments.
• Strong commitment to maintaining the security and confidentiality of PHI.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without sponsorship.
