Senior Clinical Data Abstractor – Cardiovascular

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Utilize specialized clinical expertise to classify, encode, summarize, interpret, and compute registry/case information derived from patient medical records.

• Ensure accurate and timely submission of data to designated registries or measure data repositories.

• Maintain a high standard of accuracy.

• Prioritize, organize, and meet stringent deadlines across multiple tasks and team requests.

• Manage expectations, identify obstacles, and suggest timely solutions.

• Navigate electronic medical records and registry/case entry systems.

• Resolve technical issues with systems and applications by leveraging team resources.

• Contribute to the development of team best practices, data dictionaries, abstraction guidelines, and business rule documents.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance task efficiency.

• Remain informed on mandated regulatory and publicly reported data requirements from federal, state, payer, and other entities.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

• Operate under the supervision of the Manager or Senior Manager.

• Provide quality solutions to hospital partners nationwide.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience with various patient medical record systems (EMRs) and clinical databases.

• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities.

• High standards for accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.

• Technical proficiency and eagerness to learn new systems and technologies.

• Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of projects and patient records.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt style and tone when collaborating.

• Strong self-organization and time management abilities.

• Capability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously and adjust to changing timelines and priorities.

• Flexibility to adapt to changes in timelines, requirements, and project assignments.

• Responsibility for maintaining the security and confidentiality of PHI.

• Minimum of 1 year of NCDR/ACC abstraction experience in LAAO, TVT, CathPCI, Chest Pain/MI, Afib Ablation, and/or EP Device.

• Part-time position; team members working 30 or more hours weekly are classified as full-time for benefits eligibility.
