Senior Clinical Data Abstractor – Cardiovascular

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Classify, code, summarize, interpret, and compute registry/case information from detailed patient medical records.

• Guarantee the quality submission of data in designated registries or measure data repositories.

• Organize, prioritize, and adhere to tight deadlines for various simultaneous tasks and team requests.

• Manage expectations, identify challenges, and suggest timely solutions.

• Navigate electronic medical records and tools for registry/case entry.

• Resolve technical issues with systems and applications.

• Contribute to team best practices, data dictionaries, abstraction guidelines, and business rule documents.

• Identify opportunities for process enhancements to optimize tasks and procedures.

• Stay informed about mandated regulatory and publicly reported data requirements from federal, state, payer, and other agencies.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Familiarity with various patient medical record systems (EMRs) and clinical databases.

• Intermediate expertise in MS Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.

• High standards for precision and attention to detail.

• Technical proficiency and a willingness to learn new systems and technologies.

• Capability to work independently and assume ownership of projects and patient records.

• Effective communication skills and the ability to adapt style and tone when collaborating.

• Strong self-organization and time management capabilities.

• Ability to manage multiple accounts with changing timelines and priorities.

• Flexibility to adapt to alterations in timelines, requirements, and project assignments.

• Commitment to maintaining the security and confidentiality of PHI.

• A minimum of 1 year of NCDR/ACC abstraction experience in LAAO, TVT, CathPCI, Chest Pain/MI, Afib Ablation, and/or EP Device.
