Senior Clinical Data Abstractor – Cardiovascular

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Utilize specialized clinical expertise to manage patient medical records for hospital partners

• Classify, code, summarize, interpret, and compute registry/case information

• Guarantee precise submission of data to designated registries or data repositories

• Prioritize, organize, and adhere to strict deadlines for simultaneous tasks and team requests

• Manage expectations, highlight obstacles, and suggest timely solutions

• Navigate electronic medical records along with registry/case entry tools

• Resolve technical issues with systems and applications using team resources

• Contribute to team best practices, data dictionaries, abstraction guidelines, and business rule documentation

• Identify process enhancements to optimize tasks and workflows

• Stay updated on mandated regulatory and publicly reported data requirements

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned

⛳️ Requirements

• Familiarity with various patient medical record systems (EMRs) and clinical databases

• Intermediate expertise in MS Office, particularly Microsoft Excel

• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities

• High standards for precision and attention to detail

• Technical proficiency and eagerness to learn new systems and technologies

• Capability to work autonomously and take ownership of projects/patient records

• Clear communication skills with the ability to adapt style and tone for effective collaboration

• Strong self-management and time organization skills

• Ability to handle multiple accounts with shifting timelines and priorities

• Flexibility in adapting to changes in timelines, requirements, and project assignments

• High degree of responsibility in maintaining the security and confidentiality of PHI

• A minimum of 1 year of NCDR/ACC abstraction experience in LAAO, TVT, CathPCI, Chest Pain/MI, Afib Ablation, and/or EP Device

• Exposure to patient medical record systems (EMRs) and clinical databases
