Senior Clinical Data Abstractor – Cardiovascular

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Utilize specialized clinical expertise to manage patient medical records for hospital partners.

• Classify, code, summarize, interpret, and compute registry/case data.

• Ensure the accurate submission of data to designated registries or data repositories.

• Prioritize and organize multiple simultaneous tasks and team requests while adhering to tight deadlines.

• Manage expectations, identify obstacles, and suggest timely solutions.

• Navigate electronic medical records and registry/case entry systems effectively.

• Resolve technical issues related to systems and applications by leveraging team resources.

• Contribute to the development of team best practices, data dictionaries, abstraction guidelines, and business rule documents.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency in tasks and workflows.

• Stay updated on required regulatory and publicly reported data standards.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of NCDR/ACC abstraction experience in LAAO, TVT, CathPCI, Chest Pain/MI, Afib Ablation, and/or EP Device.

• Familiarity with various patient medical record systems (EMRs) and clinical databases.

• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.

• High standards for accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.

• Technologically proficient with a willingness to learn new systems and tools.

• Capability to work independently and take ownership of projects and patient records.

• Clear communication skills with the ability to adjust style and tone for effective collaboration.

• Strong self-organization and time management skills to handle multiple accounts and changing priorities.

• Ability to adapt to changes in timelines, requirements, and project assignments.

• High level of responsibility for maintaining the security and confidentiality of PHI.

• Commitment to work 30 or more hours weekly to qualify as full-time.
