Senior Clinical Data Abstractor – Cardiovascular

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Utilize specialized clinical expertise to analyze data from hospital partners.

• Classify, code, summarize, interpret, and compute registry/case information from detailed patient medical records.

• Guarantee the quality submission of data to designated registries or measure data repositories.

• Maintain a high level of accuracy in all tasks.

• Prioritize, organize, and meet stringent deadlines for various simultaneous tasks and team requests.

• Manage expectations, identify obstacles, and propose timely solutions.

• Navigate electronic medical records (EMR) and registry/case entry systems effectively.

• Resolve technical issues with systems and applications by utilizing team resources.

• Contribute to the development of team best practices, data dictionaries, abstraction guidelines, and business rule documentation.

• Recognize opportunities for process improvements to enhance task efficiency.

• Stay informed about required regulatory and publicly reported data standards from federal, state, payer, and other agencies.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

• Provide high-quality solutions to hospital partners under the guidance of the Manager or Senior Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of NCDR/ACC abstraction experience in LAAO, TVT, CathPCI, Chest Pain/MI, Afib Ablation, and/or EP Device.

• Familiarity with various patient medical record systems (EMRs) and clinical databases.

• Intermediate skills in MS Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities.

• High standards for precision and attention to detail.

• Technologically proficient and eager to learn new systems and technologies.

• Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of projects/patient records.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt style and tone for effective collaboration.

• Excellent self-organization and time management abilities.

• Capacity to manage multiple accounts with changing timelines and priorities.

• Ability to adjust to alterations in timelines, requirements, and project assignments.
