Senior Clinical Data Abstractor – Cardiovascular

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Classify, code, summarize, interpret, and compute registry/case information from detailed patient medical records.

• Ensure accurate submission of data in designated registries or measure data repositories.

• Maintain a high standard of accuracy.

• Prioritize, organize, and meet tight deadlines for various simultaneous tasks and team requests.

• Manage expectations, identify obstacles, and suggest timely solutions.

• Navigate electronic medical records and registry/case entry systems.

• Address technical issues with systems and applications utilizing team resources.

• Contribute to team best practices, data dictionaries, abstraction guidelines, and business rule documentation.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency in tasks and processes.

• Stay updated on mandated regulatory and publicly reported data requirements from federal, state, payers, and other agencies.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of NCDR/ACC abstraction experience in LAAO, TVT, CathPCI, Chest Pain/MI, Afib Ablation, and/or EP Device.

• Familiarity with various patient medical record systems (EMRs) and clinical databases.

• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.

• High standards for accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.

• Technical proficiency and a strong eagerness to learn new systems and technologies.

• Capable of working independently and taking ownership of projects/patient records.

• Effective communication skills with the ability to adjust style and tone for collaboration.

• Strong self-organization and time management capabilities.

• Ability to simultaneously manage multiple accounts with shifting timelines and priorities.

• Flexibility to adapt to changes in timelines, requirements, and project assignments.

• High degree of responsibility in maintaining PHI security and confidentiality.
