This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Categorize, code, summarize, interpret, and compute registry/case information derived from detailed patient medical records.
• Ensure precise submission of data to designated registries or measurement data repositories.
• Prioritize, organize, and efficiently handle tight deadlines for multiple simultaneous tasks and team requests.
• Manage expectations, identify obstacles, and suggest timely solutions.
• Navigate electronic medical records (EMRs), registry/case entry tools, and various technical systems.
• Resolve technical issues with systems and applications utilizing team resources.
• Contribute to team best practices, data dictionaries, abstraction guidelines, and business rule documentation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to optimize tasks and workflows.
• Remain informed about mandated regulatory and publicly reported data requirements from federal, state, payer, and other agencies.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
• A minimum of 1 year of ELSO abstraction experience is required.
• Familiarity with various patient medical record systems (EMRs) and clinical databases.
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
• High standards for precision and attention to detail.
• Technically adept with a willingness to learn new systems and technologies.
• Capability to work independently and take ownership of projects/patient records.
• Clear communication skills with the ability to adapt style and tone for effective collaboration.
• Strong self-organization and time management capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously and adjust to changing timelines and priorities.
