Senior Claims Adjuster – Accident Benefits

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Conduct investigations and adjustments of residential and commercial property and casualty claims with minimal oversight.

• Evaluate claims and reach out to involved parties promptly.

• Assess claim situations to determine coverage, causes, compensable damages, and reserves.

• Review insurance policies and documentation to ascertain coverage details.

• Create estimates for repair and replacement costs.

• Conduct interviews with claimants and witnesses.

• Negotiate and settle both first-party and third-party claims.

• Manage salvage and subrogation as per client requirements.

• Foster client relationships to encourage repeat business referrals.

• Contribute to organizational quality initiatives.

• Carry out additional assigned responsibilities.

• Travel as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• IIA-AIC designation is mandatory.

• Valid state adjuster license is required.

• A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary.

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including proficiency in presentations.

• Proficient in PC usage, particularly with Microsoft Office applications.

• Proven commitment to timely reporting.

• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.

• Effective time management and organizational capabilities.

• Ability to work autonomously or collaboratively within a team.

• Must be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods.

• Must be able to kneel, squat, or bend as needed.

• Must be comfortable working outdoors in both hot and cold weather conditions.

• Ability to climb, crawl, stoop, kneel, and reach overhead.

• Capable of lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds.

• Able to push or pull weights up to 100 pounds.

• Must be able to drive for up to 4 hours daily.

• Continuous use of manual dexterity is required.
