This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Assist customers throughout the claims process by providing continuous guidance and support.
• Investigate and process claims related to vehicle damage, other property damage, and moderate bodily injuries.
• Prioritize accurate and efficient claims management to avoid unnecessary costs.
• Deliver exceptional customer service during the entire claims process.
• Review and clarify coverage details and claims procedures.
• Establish reserves for expected expenses.
• Coordinate vehicle inspections and rental authorizations.
• Address customer questions and concerns to ensure satisfaction and retention.
• Gather information from involved parties and witnesses via phone, email, text, and letter.
• Analyze law enforcement reports and collect additional evidence, such as dash-cam and surveillance footage.
• Evaluate the circumstances of loss and determine liability.
• Identify and escalate high-risk claims that involve significant indemnity exposure or potential fraud.
• Review medical records and assess, negotiate, and settle moderate bodily injury claims.
• Collaborate with legal counsel for both represented claimants and unrepresented parties.
• Act as the primary contact for customers and liaise with other departments.
• Work together with the team to assist shared customers.
• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 6 months of customer service experience in a fast-paced environment or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• Preferred 6–12 months of experience in claims adjusting.
• Previous experience in a remote work setting is advantageous.
• Reliable high-speed internet connection with at least 25 Mbps download speed.
• A dedicated workspace that is free from distractions.
• Capability to maintain a sedentary position for prolonged periods.
• Proficient in electronic and telephonic communication with team members, customers, and external parties.
• Ability to operate and type on a computer, laptop, and/or other Company-issued electronic devices for extended durations.
• Competence in accessing and using the Company computer system, preparing documents, entering data, and reviewing documents from a computer database or email system.
• Physical ability to bend, stoop, reach, climb, and/or stand to retrieve files, documents, and equipment.
• Skill in grasping, opening, and closing drawers, filing cabinets, and other equipment.
• 8 weeks of paid training.
