This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct civil engineering assessments for stormwater drainage, sanitary sewer systems, roadway design, and earthwork.
• Assist in the creation of general arrangement drawings alongside mechanical and electrical engineers.
• Develop preliminary civil designs encompassing grading, erosion control, drainage and stormwater management, wastewater systems, and access roads, including the preparation of bills of quantities.
• Formulate and evaluate technical specifications that outline construction requirements.
• Provide guidance to power project developers.
• Conduct independent evaluations of new power and infrastructure projects to facilitate financing.
• Generate technical reports for owners, developers, governmental bodies, committees, and financiers.
• Lead initiatives in utilizing data, automation, and AI to enhance engineering workflows, minimize rework, and achieve cost-effective designs.
• Oversee automation and process improvement tasks, which include calculation automation, summarization of technical documents, and generation of design documentation.
• Supervise engineers programming or scripting in Python, MATLAB, or advanced Excel, and review the outputs of automation.
• Provide guidance on the appropriate use of AI or agentic AI tools while ensuring the verification of results.
• Collaborate within multidisciplinary project teams on utility-scale thermal, solar, wind, battery energy storage, and other power-generating and infrastructure projects.
• A Bachelor's degree in civil engineering is mandatory.
• Over 10 years of experience in design techniques, tools, and principles related to the creation of technical plans, drawings, calculations, and models.
• More than 5 years of experience in detailed design for site grading and drainage, stormwater systems, road design, transport plans, track design, and ponds.
• Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro, Autodesk Civil 3D, HydroCAD, StormCAD, PondPack, FLO-2D Pro, and AutoTURN.
• Ability to work with geospatially oriented tools.
• Experience in designing power plant projects, including combined cycle, simple cycle, nuclear, wind, or solar initiatives.
• Background in writing and providing supporting documentation for Civil Engineering specifications or calculations.
• Capacity to function effectively in a team environment.
• Skill in prioritizing multiple simultaneous, fast-paced tasks within designated schedules and budgets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in technical evaluation report writing.
• U.S. work authorization sponsorship is not available.
• A Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred but not mandatory.
• Skills in data analysis and visualization are advantageous but not essential.
• Knowledge of project finance or business acumen is a plus but not required.
• Familiarity with construction project management and/or scheduling software is beneficial but not obligatory.
• Skills in project planning, leadership, and organization are valued but not required.
• Willingness and ability to lead others in using automation and AI tools.
• Additional education in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or related fields is appreciated.
