This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.

📋 Description

• Prepare civil engineering plans for commercial, industrial, utility, and infrastructure development projects.

• Create site layouts, grading designs, utility coordination, access and circulation plans, erosion control measures, permit documents, and construction documentation.

• Develop engineering solutions ranging from initial concepts to detailed design, construction support, and Issued-for-Construction plans.

• Act as a senior technical resource and advisor.

• Provide specialized technical insights for studies and designs.

• Establish study and design procedures aimed at producing high-quality, cost-effective outcomes.

• Engage in interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables.

• Generate construction cost estimates and assess technical effort estimates.

• Complete discipline components of PS&E packages.

• Conduct quality-control reviews of design calculations and drawings.

• Draft technical specification sections.

• Travel occasionally to sites or the office, around 5% of the time.

• Contribute to engineering budgets and schedules.

• Lead and mentor junior engineers and technicians.

• Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality work.

• Perform site visits and field investigations.

• Create innovative solutions to complex engineering problems.

• Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.

• Represent AECOM during client meetings and professional conferences.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree plus 6 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.

• U.S. Professional Engineering License (PE) is required.

• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

• Proficiency in Civil 3D AutoCAD modeling is preferred.

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is preferred.

• Experience in site civil and/or transportation design is preferred.

• Willingness to travel occasionally to the office or work sites.

• Sponsorship for U.S. employment authorization is not available now or in the future.
