Senior Category Sourcing Manager, Data Center

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +7 more states.

📋 Description

• Acquire essential equipment for mission-critical data centers

• Organize, implement, and oversee competitive sourcing events, which include RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs

• Assist in the construction and expansion initiatives of mission-critical data centers

• Formulate, apply, and consistently enhance regional and global category sourcing strategies

• Develop process workflows aimed at reducing cycle times

• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Engineering, Construction, Finance, and Legal departments

• Ensure sourcing strategies are in line with budget, supply continuity, and project delivery schedules

• Discover, assess, and onboard new suppliers

• Monitor cost savings and cost avoidance metrics

• Provide data-driven reports to leadership

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, or procurement

• Demonstrated experience in managing intricate RFx processes

• Expertise in developing standard operating procedures

• Skilled in gathering savings metrics

• Competence in producing data-driven reports in ambiguous work settings

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities

• Capability to collaborate across interdisciplinary teams

• Proficient in presenting to executive stakeholders

• Direct experience in a data center or infrastructure service provider environment is highly advantageous
