This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +3 more states.
• Create and implement category strategies for PDS and P&P that align with Procurement priorities, stakeholder requirements, and business goals.
• Collaborate with Procurement business partners, service line leadership, and account teams to convert category strategies into actionable initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for standardizing approaches, enhancing category adoption, and increasing Procurement value for capital projects and program execution.
• Direct strategic sourcing, supplier selection, and competitive bidding processes.
• Negotiate commercial terms, pricing frameworks, and contractual agreements.
• Assist in the development of procurement playbooks, negotiation strategies, and best practices.
• Oversee preferred supplier relationships and utilization tactics.
• Track supplier performance and resolve issues in collaboration with stakeholders and suppliers.
• Facilitate supplier governance, preferred supplier integration, and performance monitoring.
• Aid in risk management through supplier oversight and commercial governance.
• Maintain commercial agreements, contract management processes, and associated documentation.
• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Operations, Risk, and project teams on contractual, compliance, and supplier matters.
• Utilize spend analytics, benchmarking, and market intelligence to spot opportunities and assess category performance.
• Generate reports on supplier performance, category opportunities, cost savings, and value delivery.
• Leverage data-driven insights to support project teams, category strategies, and Procurement’s contributions to results.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related discipline is preferred.
• Over 10 years of experience in construction and project development services.
• At least 3 years in procurement category management.
• Extensive knowledge in sourcing for construction and capital projects, pricing models, and labor/material benchmarking.
• Familiarity with supplier risk management practices.
• Capability to train, mentor, and assist internal stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities relating to capital programs and construction initiatives.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
• Ability to formulate innovative strategies and practical solutions.
• Experience in contract negotiation and ongoing contract management.
• A mindset focused on continuous improvement for efficiency and value creation.
• Capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
